Gigs, House Making and Dinner.

This is the fiance, Austin. I may include photos of him in my blog as to be honest, we do a lot together, and he does have some lovely clothes... mostly the ones I bought him. His t shirt is from River Island and the cardigan is from a charity shop. I bought his amazing dark green cords from eBay and get very bad trouser envy when he's wearing them. Austin is in a very good band, Ratty Little Fingers, and they played a gig last night and so I went to watch them and have a little dance.

I wore a studded, acid wash denim dress from River Island (purchased off eBay for £10) with my faithful and battered leather jacket bought from H&M many moons ago. Of course, the bowler hat was worn (I do have other hats but get rather obsessed with one at a time and wear that particular one until it disintegrates) and my new favourite purple velvet creeper from ASOS... a bit of an expense at £28 but the fiance bought them so it's okay.

The band played a very good gig and some important people seemed very interested in their music so we'll see where that goes. The band and all their partners have these animal hoods which are made by Merri Making who have made hoods for all kinds of famous people and are doing really well. The hoods are crazily comfy and warm and I always get positive comments and compliments when I wear mine.

Today, after a short lie in to try and recover from the mini hang over, I went to help the parents-in-law-to-be in mine and Austin's house which we're building. It's a great space and we're going to make it into our dream home but it doesn't half take a lot of time, effort and money (mostly by Austin and his parents, I have to admit... very grateful) I wore the above outfit to do my task of stripping a door frame ready to be painted again. The jumper dress is a H&M and the parka is from Internacionale for something silly like £5 but again, is very old. Teamed with converse trainers and of course, the bowler hat, it made for a good house making outfit.

Austin wore this today to teach banjo and guitar. His shirt is from Primark and t shirt is off eBay while the orange cords are Ralph Lauren but cost £3 on eBay! Bargain or what!?

Now we're just deciding on what to go out and eat for dinner but of course my outfit was already chosen before I even gave a second thought to food. The whole outfit is from Primark and wouldn't have cost me more than £40 altogether, including boots. I'm not usually a girly pastel fan but I love the lace on the jacket and i'm very into denim shirts (or any shirts) buttoned up to the top at the moment. Also, this skirt is just delicious, such a cute design and oddly I have seen no one else wear it ever! I thought everyone would have bought it and worn it all the time.

Anyway, my stomach is rumbling so must be time for dinner, still have no idea what I want.... but I look good so who cares.
